The well known to all Hocico-fans melodic background sounds have been reduced in comparison with previous releases, with the band moving a little bit more into commercial paths since the whole concept here is produced under much more attention and professionalism, with the experimental element missing this time.
After the fantastic Signos album and walking on the same musical paths Hocico are back to the market with their newest album titled Wrack and Ruins. After the first few seconds it will become clear to the listener that we are dealing with a very powerful, danceable and dynamic album. |

Decoded Feedback came into being in 1993. Their distinctive sound comes from the blending together of two distinctive cultures (European and North American), as well as the perspective differences that exist between man and woman. As a result, their musical arrangements transcend not only national and continental boundaries, but also the boundaries that unfortunately exist between the genders.
In the beginning, their goal was to combine the spirit of punk with the cold perfection of electronic music, but as time went on, their sound developed more into the dark electro-industrial sound they embrace today. After three highly acclaimed self-released demo tapes Decoded Feedback [1993], Elektrokute [1994], and Overdosing [1995], the duo was offered a contract with then one of Europe's up and coming industrial labels, Hard Records. Their first CD, Overdosing, was released in 1996, with an American release on Cleopatra Records. |

Cruel, shocking, disturbing and yet really good. I believe this is the description that fits most this confusing film, directed by Michael Haneke in 1997. Totally different, compared to anything I've ever seen, for about half the movie I strongly believed it was a true snaf (when one of the guys blinked meaningfully at the camera,
I was almost sure-and shocked of course). Forget anything resembling to Hollywood. The two young men, neatly dressed and polite, could be the guys sitting next to you in the bus. The family could be your aunt and uncle. And yet, there are no words to describe the violence and the pain, although none of it is shown on screen itself. |

Well if Astral Faction are the ultimate clones of Suicide Commando, Retrosic more or less the clones of Wumpscut, and I am saying this cause when they were first introduced to me through the Cryonica Tanz vol.3 (Ground zero song) compilation
I was trying to find out if this is a Wumpscut project or maybe a Wumspcut release rather than a new band. I got their cd 2 weeks ago and what a surprise this was. |

Diary of Dreams started out as the solo project of Adrian Hates in the late 80's. At that time Adrian Hates was the bass player (actually not only the bass player but where ego starts anything can happen ) of the Gothic band Garden of Delight and that was the main reason D.O.D debut album wasn't released until 1994.
Together with guitarist Alistair Kane he produced "Cholymelan", a very dark and atmospheric album with few electronic elements making his talent obvious, not only as a bass player, but also as a composer. His unique dark melancholic voice forced the dark scene to show a great interest about this new project and a promise for the future. |

The fact that this psychodrama about the interdependent identities of twins is set in a medical context suggest fascinating insights into physician identity, the interaction between professional and private personae, and the peculiar complexity of the intimacy underlying the gynecological physician-patient relationship.
The Mantle twins can be thought of as embodying the physician's necessary self-division into the smooth professional exterior persona (Elliot) and the private person (Beverly) who works in the background and is in danger of desiring, or even falling in love with, his patients--between clinical detachment and the vulnerability of empathy. To this extent, Dead Ringers can be seen as a parable about the dangers of creating and maintaining the double life apparently required of ambitious explorers of bodies. |

Have any of you tried to picture life or think of it as something more than a 4 letter word? I tried once and I failed. Life is so big and my imagination's army seems so small and weak to conquer each acre of her holy land. I am a king with no army. Hence, I am a king in me. At least I decided not to be a slave like you did.
Well, I failed and I feel much better now I can say. I know that at least I don't have to abandon breathing for discovering something new. Seriously, I feel what I feel because I really feel that way. I know people who disagree, I know people who suffer because they cannot cope with reality or dare to face their feelings, the truth, life in other words, so they chose to be "slaves". Slaves of their own free choice for self-pity and contempt for what they were born to be. And they live into their perverted reality, eventually dying believing they were free; a free choice for self-misery, and that makes death hilarious in my eyes. |
